Post Production Supervisor
Apple Music Editorial Video is seeking a passionate, driven and experienced Post Production Supervisor in Culver City to oversee all aspects of post-production including personnel, workflow and technical footprint for in-house projects.
This role will help to oversee and manage the Post department and works closely with video producers and Operations teams to understand and track production timelines, current and upcoming edits, and the delivery of all content to the service. The ideal candidate is extremely organized with a strong working knowledge of all current post production workflows and standards.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Supervise contracted video editors across several territories
• Oversee the day to day edit schedule, tracking and verification of assets across post projects
• Work with all department stakeholders, video producers and team members to create new or improve current interdepartmental workflows and processes.
• Manage the post-production schedule making sure all edits are addressed and communicated to all relevant parties
• Manage daily original content deliveries to ensure outputs are correct and on schedule
• Scheduling, management, and attendance at all Post Production-related meetings and sessions.
• Manage and QC (quality control) the production of media files for final air.
• Contribute to improving our bespoke post tracking system, taking into consideration our specific workflow elements.
• Advise on creative and technical notes across specific edit projects.
• Work with AE to ensure all projects are quality controlled
Key Qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of experience in production of content in music, television and entertainment brands.
• In-depth insight and understanding of post production technology, developing and emerging as related to content production• Strong technical oversight of video production, broadcast and VOD
• Extraordinary attention to detail while still working under tight deadlines
• Collaborative and team oriented approach, experience in managing and directing teams.
• Strong budget management experience, including written and verbal communication skills for relaying to external and internal teams
• The successful candidate will have the ability to pull together multiple pieces of a project and navigate and unlock new types of productions and executions
